Re: Smoko...northland style.

Yeah everything is easy up here, nothing requires any effort or skills. All too easy. Sk8 mate, your on speed dial for the next outing. What you keen to target? Good time for puka or bass atm. Old boy went yesterday and got 9 Bass, nothing big though all around 50-70lb. About targeting JD's, a beach...

Re: A Long time since...

Yup good to be back out for a paddle...now back to the grind. Must buy another camera. Would have been nice to get a shot of that snapper, amazing colours. Never seen one so dark. Only photo sadly, once I got my phone out of the car... https://scontent-a-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/t1.0-9/p180x540...

A Long time since...

It's been ages since I've been for a paddle. Work commitments have had me dry for months but finally managed an evening off yesterday and paddled out for a fish. Worth waiting for, 30m of water and nice 45-55cm fish coming in on every cast, fish hitting the new Nucked chook Zman only 3-10m from the ...

foruno sounder, will it fit?

Selling my boat as It never gets used. But might keep the furuno sounder i have on it and put it on the yak, its the model down from the 585...fcv6--- or something like that. It has a large trans and wont fit inside the cavity of my pro fish. Is there a smaller trans I can use?

Cheers.

Re: Keep Marlin out of the QMS

Very good news. Still a shame they have not closed the loop hole where the fishing boats catch the marlin outside of NZ waters but then land in NZ and sell them. It is the same marlin just caught in a different location. ...I'd be pretty certain alot of that fish is in fact landed inside NZ waters,...

Now I'm just in tears thinking how I'm never going to get a day off to get it all bloody...my last day off was to go see TOOL play. I'...

Re: cool Mako footage -

We bottled that mako a few weeks ago...def the same one. Mat would have been fishing the same area as we do and that mako was very aggressive. What a waist of a fish.
