Re: WTB large rubber hatch kit.

Massive, thanks Winch, I thought it would fit over a rotomoulded lip but it seems to have a base section that it attaches to. I will get in touch with them :y:

I have looked through the usual marine websites and cant find anything other than small plastic hatches. Can you get large rubber hatches with the base section in NZ? Its for a fiberglass kayak.

Nice list Tim! I would like to make one comment! If you see guys out there with an arsenal of gear and think you are too skint to get into it (or need flasher gear to do it properly). Just do it! Get out there on the water as much as you can, while you can! One of life's cruelest jokes is that when ...

Re: Looking into buying a starter kayak,is this good enough?

A scupper pro is an another option if you are on a budget. They are an older kayak but don't seem to get up to the same prices as even the old prowlers. They are still a really nice kayak and a good base for fishing and diving. Might be able to pick one up for 5 or 600.

Army Bay 19 Sept

It was forecast to be low wind and a perfect day for my first trip out on the Fisha 550! I only got on the water at about 9.30 but it was a beaut day with little bit of rain and some sunny patches thrown in. I softbaited around Wellingtons reef for about an hour and lost lots of jigheads without sna...

Cheers mate yeah it's gonna be a bit more tippy, but I like paddling and exploring as much as fishing so I think it will be perfect for me :) Hope to put on some decent kilometres this summer.

Re: FS. Kaskazi Marlin

Whats the new yak going to be CBJ ? How do you find the Marlin on long trips without a backrest ? New yak is the stealth fisha 550 (on trademe a few weeks ago). I'm sure someone else here would have been tempted by it! I have it in the garage just sorting a couple things then will hopefully have ti...

FS. Kaskazi Marlin

Unfortunately the time has come to send my yak on to another home. We have had some adventures, and gone on some decent paddles (Rakino, Waiheke, around Ponui island etc). The marlin is a bit of a cross between a fishing ski and touring kayak. It has large storage holds front and back, and a hatch b...
