Yeah, thanks to everyone involved in running the site and for the excellent safety tips and knowledge that's been posted. I've certainly learnt alot since joining which is probably why I constantly take out the trophy for the NN Premier League. I refuse to use FB so will hopefully catch some of you ...
Yep, saw you guys on the beach Nice haul you got there Mr Mayor of NN. If I knew that was you, would have come over for a chat instead of buggaring off like I did Softies & sliders do it for you guys ? That's right mate, although have been adding a bit of squid. The flea also worked well but yo...
20200522_120545.jpg I have been buying the frozen calamari tubes from the supermarket. Defrost then cut into long thin strips, hook once, chuck in the holder and wait till you hook up. Got 5 in a couple of hours on Friday, unbaited slider got very little attention but it was all go with the baited ...
Well done Doc. I went with Mitch on Saturday and we both got a few but couldn't find the KY. I'm going to go tomorrow for one last peaceful fish before the boats come back. It's a much more enjoyable experience without having to worry about the gin palaces mowing you down.
Good stuff. Hopefully the autumn workups will come soon and the fishing will get easier. Hi Doc, Yeah it's been a weird few months, like you say, hopefully things will pick up now it's starting to cool down. Looks like my football could be cancelled so more time for fishing. I'll see you out there ...
With The Narrowneck Premier Fishing League currently suspended it was left to me to get out and have a quick trip. I launched at 645 on the incoming tide, the fishing has been tough over the last few weeks but the flea started to get interest immediately. I also had a new penny softie out and was sl...
Drop it down to the bottom and flick bail arm over. Then just lift the rod to bring it off the bottom, then let it drop again.
You can also just leave it in the rod holder. I think I use the 21g one.
Good result. Try the pink and silver flea. It never fails although you have to get through 10 small ones for a keeper. Use a light drag as hook pulls are common. I only ever drag new penny, try a lighter, 12lb leader with 3/8oz jig head. Again light drag but there's no snags only sand. Hopefully see...
With Mitch and Barry's Valentine's day preperation in full swing, not sure if it was for each other, or their respective wives, and Doc busy writing cards for wouldbe suitors, it was left to The Mayor to do the fishing. I launched at 6pm into a lively inshore wind, it took me an hour to paddle out t...
Doc it's you and Mitch on pop star wages, if I had to pay for my fish you'd be seeing a can of Sardines!!!
Nice to meet you Silverbak, hopefully we'll see you out there soon. Get an orange slider you can't fail, even Mitch gets the occasional fish.
Hopefully Barry is getting out there on the weekend.
I met Mitch at the ramp for 6am with Barry missing in action, apparently it was too windy and he still hadn't finished knitting his shawl to protect him from the chilly November mornings. Undeterred myself and Mitch headed out to the yellow ball with the wind at around 7 knots to fish the incoming t...
A great victory for England!
Another predictable victory for the Mayor.
And a great morning on the water with a bunch of good blokes.
Everyone going home with enough for tea.
Come on England
