Geez mate.... thats a bit of a step up from that first at kaiteri many years ago.... i remember this little amped as MF telling me how awesome the fishing is everywhere except home...the bays crap, over fished, no snapper...

Ive got one of those wind deflector/brake light things above my cars backdoor. Thought it was there to load my yak..... Easy as, lift nose onto plastic/flexi/brake thing slide yak up onto racks... Its got a few scratches but my backs feeling good :lol:

Monkfish.... apparently delish.... released.... :D Yeah tata is just past pohara.. 70min from mot... turns into a 12hr day tho...couple hrs driving couple hours of cake n coffee n a bit of fishing... fish were mostly under 40cm n boat traffic chaotic from 9-11am. 15min paddle from tata beach to spat farm (this mornings mish)or 6km paddle from stevens bay to mussel farm. could go direct from kumeras(staple st) but very tidal launch. might be keen... find me on facebook Tasman yak fishers :rock:

I put my battery in front hatch... Also use it for dry clothes (in winter on day trips) in a dry bag and handy for the gas cooker n coffee ;)

3/20 Fishermans island.... first solo trip of any length for a couple of years so was kinda excited at what may come. so not a new spot but predawn launch on the sat am. 40 min paddle with a nice offshore and no chop. sunrise before I got there showed I was late. ff had been pretty quiet on the trip...

boulder bank
port to tahuna
rabbit island
ruby bay
kina
Pretty much anywhere :rofl:
Hit up anyone you see on a yak as most are semi friendly n rarely bite
