Manu Bay sunday 7th june?

I have been building a house on most weekends for the last year or so and kayak fishing has not happened at all. Just happen to have a daughter in Raglan who asked us over to dinner on Sunday night so I just checked weather and tides and unbelievably its looking good. High tide about 1.30 pm so the ...

Re: Running Rig (Again)

so my question is then. with your drogue to the front how do you deal with the fish changing sides? and possibly getting tangled in the drogue line? i find whenever i have a fish on they quite often change sides and im flipping the rod tip around the front of the yak which is why i only use the rea...

Re: Club fishing day - Saturday 13th Sept

I badly feel the need to get out on the water and will do my best to make it when it happens but I have been side tracked as far as fishing goes in recent months , building a bigger Kayak shed(small house attached) mainly on weekends.

Re: Anchor Trolley System

The first anchor trolley I made which I got the design from the UK forum anglers afloat (the first one I found back then) had cleats etc but I never used them. Not sure why they think they are needed . If you pull your anchor/drogue to the front or rear it stays there , If you need it in between for...

Scotty Rod holder juggling

I have a new unused scotty powerlock and need an original type SD 250 rodmaster. ( not rodmaster 11). Any one want to swap, no bases involved. I am in Cambridge so could be a bit of posting needed.

Waikawau Sat 8th.

As usual left home way to late ,had in mind going to Wilsons Bay but ended up at Waikawau to save a bit of time, was on the water about 11am. I usually take no bait but had some old salted bonito in stock. Paddled out to the mussel farms and just drifted along between the buoys. I had a ledger rig w...

Re: Tetra12 owners, where's that review??

I'll add brief review after a few weeks with a new Tetra. It's certainly nice n light and a breeze to put on the roof rack which was one of the attractions. It's also pretty nippy for a small boat, and easy to turn. Plenty of room in the rear for storage, and also a good sized storage under the fro...
