Re: Lower back pain

I do a fair bit of surf launching so not sure if the high chair thing is a good idea? No doubt its a lot more comfortable... but it really seems the more I go out the less it bothers me so highly likely its just a fitness thing in my case.. will still look into upgrading the seat I don't believe lif...

Re: Lower back pain

Yeah I used to do a fair bit of core exercises. Might be time to get back into them :| probably the solution too I'm pretty sure back pain was the reason I started doing them in the first place haha... Not sure why that thought never crossed my mind But you'd have to think paddling alone would do a ...

Lower back pain

Never bothered me when I had a profish 400 but since upgrading to a reload it's been quite nasty not so much on the water but the days following... Any recommendations? I can't say for sure it's the reload I was quite a bit fitter when I had the 400 and there's been a good six months or even a year ...

Re: Kayak Trolling for Kingfish

I'd go for a big paddle tail softie of some kind. Not too much resistance and kingies love that vibration! Which big paddle tail!?! I've been searching for something like a 7/8 inch zman paddler for ages but as far as I can tell they don't exist? Slow trolling livies is great if you can easily catc...

Re: Anyone know of a good gps/Nav app for iPhone?

yeah x2 the navionics app is actually a lot smoother and better than it is on the sounders I have tried/owned (low end ;) ).
Wet fingers make it damn near useless with my cheapo phone tho. Anyone found a solution to this?

Re: Fishing Kayak Newbie~ Is this a good fishing kayak?

Like everyone else has already said... stalk TM and get a used viking man. you'll only end up upgrading anyway just like everyone else has. And if for some strange reason you don't like it you can sell it again for what you bought it for, no harm done. That WILL NOT happen with a chinese copy. I did...

Re: Help struggling getting the Kayak to the water

wow looks pretty radical haha but considering the 'awful' c-tug sand trakz wheel upgrade is $100 anyway... man you can tell you're getting into the luxury end of the sot kayak market when you start looking at this stuff. I may go there now though that loyal dog simile has done a lot of damage... doe...

Re: Help struggling getting the Kayak to the water

Damn that's not what I wanted to hear...but a pretty convincing comparison.... just not sure if I have it in me to drop $330 on a set of bloody kayak wheels Was torture dragging that heavy bitch back to the car last night tho the back is still having spasms Got some procrastinating to do.. Thanks fo...

Re: Help struggling getting the Kayak to the water

Rather than starting a new thread... how much better are the sand trakz compared to the original wheels for the c-tug? Because where I am based there's plenty of nice fluffy sand and it was probably twice as much effort with the c-tug as it is to just drag the kayak along the beach on its hull. Will...

Re: Conservation: its time to stop blaming the commercial guys

Pretty sure I am repeating what others have said but big fish produce astronomically more eggs than smaller ones - Jigs and plastics instead of kilos and kilos of bait and burley has to be a step in the right direction though? I know a lot of it is marketing crap and I don't really know what amount...

Re: Conservation: its time to stop blaming the commercial guys

I think our unhealthy obsession with snapper is a big part of the problem. seems as though the entire country is brainwashed into thinking they are the only fish in the ocean worth eating - god knows there are enough kahawhai around to keep the worlds population well fed for a few decades, and they ...

Surprised this hasn't sold yet:

No connection with the owners other than buying the other Kayak they had up for sale (profish 400).
In very good condition, was very tempted myself...
