Using sidescan to target snapper where I am in Western Australia has been very successful for years and a decent sized snapper or a school of them sticks out like dogs balls on side scan .kingfish (samson fish in my case ) are also easily seen on side scan . Frankly in WA if my side scan is not work...

Was a great trip Andrew .
I got severly sharked and landed a few decent snapper and had a ball spending time in an awesome part of the world with a great group.

The swan river and the rivers to the south like Murry and Blackwood offer decent fishing for Black Bream ,Mulloway and Tailor. You can get out in the ocean but yes its hard work .A lot of my fishing is for pink snapper which ia a demersal species and is out of season from mid October through end of ...

Thanks Brendon. Awesome report and interesting reading. What are those sambos like to eat? Errrrm ...... I don't eat fish...but do eat squid which I use to catch fish...crazy eh? Any how to answer your question they are fine so long as they are not infested with a tiny parasite that turns the flesh...
