Re: This weekend?
Thinking Wilsons again on Sunday morning, any further north would be a pain to drive for a day trip.

Re: WKFC - Orere Point 26 November
Was in there last week (Thursday), as said fishing was below average, and stopped completely at about 10am. Re: Any recommendations for water kayak pants that have waterproof socks attached?
Use Palm ion bib pants, love them, had them in the UK and got them sent over when i was setting up, wear them year round no issues, and buy a cheap pair of trainers to wear over them when up and about.

Re: Is there an issue?
Used to put some ball bearings in the hull, if its a close community, there is no way of moving it quietly (but you have to plan ahead if you want to load up and silly o'clock in the morning as the neighbors wont appreciate it).

Re: Errrr Sharks?
Had a 3m+ blue on the line from the yak, and a smallish mako, they are about and you will hook one eventually (blue was on a flasher rig with pillie, the mako on a softbait (so ignore those who say jigs/softbaiters are safe). just treat them with respect, and get as much line back as possible before...

Better service than Navico give where they try and just sell you a replacement unit, even when the old unit is STILL in warranty!
