Aiming from the 10th - 25th October. Probably going to choose a weekend the week before . I will post when it will happen. Plenty of vacancy at the motorcamp throughout october. Have to get the weather right!

Do you just catch those fishing lures in a burley trail ? I'm too scared to put them down because of the couta around here. do you tend to lose very many lures ? Interested to see , because i will be switching over if it's not too bad. Great catch too , Jealous :y:

Went down late morning through till afternoon to see what was around.. I caught many different species: Kahawai, Spiny Dogfish, Blue Cod, ScorpionFish, Spotty, Yellow Eyed Mullet, Even a cute conger eel. Conditions were great apart from the rolling 1.2m swell . Can confirm Spinies are still a menace...

Looking like a real goer this weekend for the kayak fishing, I'll be heading to Tangoio or Te Awanga swell depending. Feeling great to have a weather break and some time to get off the coast again. Going to be a bit colder this time though. Who's Keen?

Fishing was on fire for Kahawai, Horse mackerel and other bit's and pieces. I got destroyed by a big Kingfish on my Gurnard rig (200m on the first run) After being towed a good 500m my dropper loop on the 40lb leader gave way.
