Launched from the Kawakawa boat ramp about 6.30 and headed out to a spot that's produced well the last couple of times I've been out there. Drifted around th...

Re: My Bad Experience With The Ocean Kayak Ultra Club Explai

If you buy a "seconds" all wrapped up in plastic without having a very close look you can only blame yourself. "Seconds" could mean all sorts of things, including demo model. You would not buy a used car wrapped up like that, or would you? Rainbow You're missing the point - it's about what was disc...

Re: My Bad Experience With The Ocean Kayak Ultra Club Explai

I was super keen on the Ultra but went for the Profish in the end not just because I felt that yak suited my requirements but the service was in two different leagues. You've summed it up right there Brad, the same reason I ended up with a Profish myself. When I was looking to upgrade from my Espri...

Re: Monday morning fish anyone?

Had a bit of fun around this corner this morning off Maraetai beach, with a heap of small snaps, 1 keeper, a couple of little hammerheads and a king that was chasing some baitfish into shore when I landed. It certainly had the onlookers intrigued - cast out a kahawai spinner with a quick retrieve to...

An incredibly heavy shower on the Southern from the Newmarket Viaduct to Market Road with the right hand lane partially blocked due to flooding, almost zero visibility and down to about 20km/h through there

And hardly a cloud in the sky this morning....

Re: NN 13/1/11

Luckily I'd gone out an hour earlier and put a couple low/mid 30's in the bin already. Good to catch up again with Brad and Celebre and good to meet Rusty as well (love those decals Rusty, nicely done!). Interesting (and very slow) drive home on the flooded motorway though, glad we didn't see any of...

I'm keen guys, may be out a little earlier but will be on VHF channel 8. Will be in the yellow Profish and will most probably head out towards #7 buoy. Don't worry Brad I've never got as far as that marker but haven't needed to (yet!). As Robbo says, fish your feet first....

See you there

Check out the video driving through Mangamuka Gorge last year. Hey Taxmanz ...
