Actually sold a couple ;-) Not something I was expecting to do and definately not a mid life crisis (too old for that) but every now and then you need to sit back and look at everything and say - hang on a minut...

I don't know him and probably would't like him much given all I've ever seen of him on telly (the rare times I watch the blasted thing) BUT - no one deserves a kicking like that. WTF is wrong with these people and yes - ChCh is my old home town and I'm damn glad we left all those years back. The pla...

Re: Honeycomb Dropoff

Yup - correct.

In that case you take the White Rock road and turn off to Tora as on google. Same sort of beach same deal. Still a good surfcasting beach as well so well worth chucking one in.

Mate - its a big wild empty ocean over there. Be careful.

Re: Honeycomb Dropoff

The road out to the coast (its called White Rock) is fine in a car. We went out there just before xmas for a surfcast in the mighty and venerable Caldina. Google maps show pictures / route all the way to the locked gate. Its around an hour from Martinborough. The usual wind is off shore and when its...

And to be honest, some of the "capture-the-grieving" attitude of some reporters to the family that I've witnessed disgusts me...I'll leave it there, blood pressure rising.... Lets be even more honest - when its all done with it will be the reporter getting the awards and knighthoods while the poor ...

Re: Shark attack kills beachgoer

So true. It was a hard week seeing my family on the front page of the herald 3 days in a row. I really wondered about the credibility of the herald when they printed two completely contradictory stories about how Meg found out it was Adam on Friday and Saturday. Fridays herald said she was at a caf...

I was chatting to a more experienced Kapiti Fish Botherer last night. Its the full moon he reckons - makes the tides go crazy (well d'uh - it makes people go crazy so why not the tides as well) and leading up to a full moon you should fish the low tide mark and after the full moon the high tide mark...
