If it's a cheap eagle/lowrance you have some spare unused wires in the cable. You can swap one over if you're confident. The power is normally the one to go first. Good luck :?:

If you get dumped in the surf you will be amazed at what gets forced into your reels at times. If you dont put them away in anything you will at least need to strip them down to relube and check for grit. I have a big enough well now that everything gets stuffed in it. If you can put them away then...

Have been up north testing this spiral wrap concept on a prototype rod for someone ;) I have asked a couple of rodbuilders about the reason for it. One said because it feels good (somewhat subjective) and the other one said it was because the line is pulling from the underside so stops any rotation...
