Re: A day of spikey dogs

Was a beaut day. Only downside was I made a comment to the work crew I was heading out and would supply fresh fish for night shift that night but failed to deliver.

Hope all is well with you Shad. Have to catch up for a fish in near future.

A day of spikey dogs

Headed off White Cliffs with 5 others out past reserve. Was a good swell at launch but easy coming in.

Some good fish caught with young Zak cracking it with a 21lb snap.

I was smashed by spikey sharks all day. Here's a vid that sums up my day.

Re: Anchor rope

Lifting centres have cheap 3mm braided rope that scaffolders etc.. Used for tie rope. Cheap as and comes in a big enough roll to do a couple of anchors. They have chain in bulk which worked out bigger all for a couple of metres. Also have the D shackles. Bunnings sell budget rope but on a plastic ha...

If anyone has a Rollei S50 Action Cam laying in a drawer gathering dust. These were prone to sticking buttons along with other faults.

Naki Snapper 23/2/17

Thursday 23 February 2017 - White Cliffs. Slow start with Wonderboy and I having to wake up Kev. Couple of stops enroute to tighten Kev's GT on the trailer. Fish were biting but only little throw backs. About 11am the bigger snapper turned up hungry. Taking everything thrown at them including softba...

Re: If there is a heaven on earth - Omaio is it.

Nice TR Schecter, it was nice to see you at the tournament again, i think the fishing was hard for most....but the weather was pretty perfect, and Omaio is a pretty special place. Itsallablur - we keep waiting for the boys from the Naki to come and show us how to catach fish up here in the Bay........
