Re: the numbers game

Ha ha yep the current can be pretty strong in the channel.

never fished anywhere with such a strong current as west coast of welly. a couple of weeks ago my drift speed was 4kph that's insane.

Re: the numbers game

yep sounds like a plan

weather factors in a bit, but its mainly hitting the right tides.

paddled back into the wind and tide once and it took me 2 and half hours back from the island.

could hardly get my kayak on the roof.

Re: Stealth Kayaks Returning to NZ

Great news Having fished off the new Fisha 500 for the last six months, i can say that the kayak has been exceptional! I have fished out wide for tuna doing in excess off 30 ks and anchored in close for snapper etc. i chose the Fisha (new Evo) over the Pro fisha range as i live in welly and was afte...

Re: Kayak for Trolling?

Hi mate I have a brand new stealth fisha 500 and it's perfect for trolling lures and most other fishing applications. I have paddled over 40ks in welly and the naki and it handled amazingly. Care should be taken when launching on very rocky areas, but the gel coat can be repaired easily. The kayak w...

Re: Plastic or Not?

In South Africa i always fished fibreglass( Ericks ski and Stealth) I purchased a Ocean kayak ultra when i moved to nz, and although it performed well, i have gone back to glass. ( New Fisha 500) As Mike said it is each to there own, but if you are content with fishing close in say 5km there and 5km...

Re: Holiday in the naki

Great Service by Stealth

Just ordered A new Fisha 500 form Stealth in South Africa. I have to say that they couldn't be more helpful if they tried, even packaging and delivering the kayak to the export company free of charge. The other great plus was the option to design your Kayak at no extra cost. top service and a great ...

pukerua bay

had a quick fish after work at Pukerua bay last night, caught a few ky and 1 million small blue cod no exaggeration. :)

cant wait for the snapper to show up in numbers, the future of puk bay is looking very bright.

did any one else get out recently?
