Prior to the seminar you will be shown some of the exciting footage due to be released soon in the new Slam Softbait DVD which is filmed on location in New Zealand. This includes a kayak section where Rob gets towed around by a 25kg kingfish caught on a Slam Softbait. The seminar will cover all aspects of Softbait fishing. You will also find out some of the latest developments with Slam Softbaits that Rob along with many other anglers have been working on to improve this excellent New Zealand product. These new developments will be showcased on the night.
Definitley a must for anyone who is already into softbait fishing or new to the sport. You will learn plenty!

Presenter:

Rob Fort, Soft Bait and Kayak Fishing Expert, Slam Pro Team Captain, writer for New Zealand Fishing Coast to Coast magazine.

Rob Fort is an expert soft bait angler who has a wealth of information to offer other anglers. Rob is a writer for NZ Fishing Coast to Coast magazine which he regularly contributes soft bait feature articles and is actively involved with soft bait education attending most boat shows held in New Zealand. Rob has been recognised in the past for his soft bait expertise by Pure Fishing New Zealand Ltd and is a former Berkley Pro Team member. During the seminars Rob will cover many new topics which have recently been overlooked when considering soft bait fishing and will introduce these during the presentation. The audience will be treated to a visual show containing many photos and diagrams explaining the process of fishing this style in detail. Topics covered during the seminar range from types of soft baits and their uses, the system covering basic gear required, rods and reels, knots and associated equipment. After a short break we move into the more serious topics discussing terrain including mussel farms, trolling and using chart plotter/fish finders to fish soft baits. The attendees will be further educated when you are guided through a series of screen snapshots taken from the new Humminbird GPS/fish finder clarifying some of the common misunderstandings with sounder use. During this section the audience will learn how to recognise what is being displayed on the screen and using GPS to track drift lines. We look at the various platforms used to fish from including boat, shore, kayak and long line. The variety of species you can catch on soft baits and ways of catching them plus some development insight. Rob’s passion for the sport is very contagious leaving the audience inspired and motivated. The information offered is plenty enough to keep everyone attending captivated but with some of the stories thrown in the overall seminar makes for a very entertaining evening.

I look forward to meeting all who attend and will see you there! Rob Fort.
