Ocean Kayak – Torque – Coming to NZ
Another exclusive release from Ocean Kayak in New Zealand about the release of a new kayak coming to NZ before Christmas.
“After more than a year of prototype testing Ocean Kayak released details of the new Prowler Torque in the USA on Friday 26th June.
In line with Ocean Kayaks ongoing strategy to continue to bring leading edge innovation and cutting edge technology to kayaking and kayak fishing the Torque has no equal with its seamless design and motor integration.
The Torque is only one of two new leading edge kayak fishing models that will be available in New Zealand November 2009. The second NZ designed
kayak also due out in November is an eye opener with some revolutionary new features.
International freight costs combined with US Dollar exchange rates will result in pricing for the Torque coming in around an estimated $3500.00.to $3750.00 as a complete unit not including the battery.”

Great website. I often troll it looking at info and forum topics. I have not registered as it could be construed as spam if I posted topics on our kayak, Motojak
We have been producing these (www.flyingfishkayaks.co.nz) for the past 9months, after 2 years of development.
We are currently tweaking the electric version, trialling a 46lb motor instead of the 32.More power yahoo.
Pricing is always in flux, due to imported motors etc, but the electric unit is cheaper than the Torque
Re your post “CONFIRMED: Ocean Kayak – Torque – Coming to NZ” we already have some IP protection around the modular/pod system we us. Good luck signing up Ocean to use your idea.
