You would not want the mouth of the net any larger than it is. The bungee coming out of the handle where it does, makes it difficult to put in a rod holder. the float also tends to make it difficult to place under a fish and would be better suited being up near the handle. The handle shape and grip made this a good net to angle right for placement while netting your catch.
