Well the poll was a very resounding "yes we want a meetup" now it's just a matter of finding "somewhere" to have it and "sometime" when "somewhere" is available, and doesn't clash with "something" else...

I'm thinking Papa Aroha, in February, when the kids are back at school...

Mental,
I am all for a meetup in early April.(although that makes it in the realms of 'next years meetup')
(what about mid November??)

Last year we did a coro Trip to 'the other side' (opito bay area) and had some good successes.

There is a campground at Otama beach, but cabins are a little sparse.

If you plan it.. they will come......

I'm behind a meetup all the way..

What? ... speaks for itself.... gotta be the bifggest and best meet up ever
Where? Wherever (but prefer Coromandel where someone can cater for a descent sized group)
When? Whenever but it makes sense to have it in nicer weather and not clash with comps or similar events
How? It's been arranged before but unfortunately canned for a few safety reasons. I think that due to the overwhelming response, it may be worth considering a couple of IRB's floating around the area. Mostly for safety but even convenience reasons. Could carry basic first aid gear. I'd be happy to pay a small fee for the peace of mind.

Yes just realised that too...

Well we either have March 25th or April 29th that's pretty much the only weekends Papa Aroha are currently empty... or any time from May onwards but then we may have weather issues again...

late April at papa aroha is all good for me.
The perils of kayak fishing are great...... especially for the fish!
