Cheers TBreezy, it had been a 6 months since my last Kingie and before that I was getting them on a regular basis when based up in Auckland.

It had been tough going down in Welly and I had paddled the 8km over to Kapiti before to try to get a Kingie with no luck. So when it all came together this time around and it was a solid Kingie, I got a little excited :D - plus I just love been out on the water and not giving a damn about the going ons in the rat race ;).

I'll be a little more subdued in Part Two

Good luck for the weekend Rob H - Sounds like it as a fantastic bite at the "usual spot" at the moment ;)

Here's Part Two guys: https://vimeo.com/239615662

Rikki is the star here, nailing a 20kg King (TBC) on super light gear.

I had to laugh to myself out there. I could hear what I thought were kids screaming or playing on the island, get in closer to justin and it was him yahooing away  . But was a cool day out with the lads and longest trip on the pdl so far and enjoyed it. Got that king on the catch setup jg2000 with 50 150 acid wrap and beta bug.. awesome wee setup.
