Name / Username of Angler: MarcG NZ
Fish Type: SNAPPER
Length: 83cm
Weight 10.71kg / just under 24lb
Date/Time of Capture: Around 1.30pm Friday 26th July
Location of Capture: Rawhiti
Type of Lure/Bait used: 5" Curried Chicken Gulp on a 5/8th Berkley Nitro jig head, 6kg braid

Comments: Finally joined the 20lb+ club!! Ran like a train and dove deep into the weeds. After feeling that horrible rubbing feeling on the line I managed to get him clear for a bunch more heavy reel screaming runs away from my yak. 15 minutes later (or so, I kinda lost track of time) with aching arms my new PB snapper popped to the surface. Cheers to kiwiladbrad for being in the right place at the right time. I was so stoked, I heard there were big fish at Rawhiti, but never thought I would be lucky enough to bag one of them!
