Hey all!

Soooooo I'm a total fish out of water when it comes to kayak fishing but based in Papamoa and cant afford a boat so bought a yak instead
I'm currently off work after a serious motorcycle accident which almost killed me. Ive been riding for years but after this one I've decided to give up the road riding and now in the market for some new hobbies
I've got a Viking 400 and obviously have a lot of questions regarding setup, must haves, clothing (summer / winter), fish finders etc and if there's anyone based around here that would be happy to show us the ropes or wouldn't mind a straggler some time it would be greatly appreciated.

Ohhh and I like long walks on the beach and poking dead things with a stick!
Even duct tape cant fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound!

The best part of this site for those just starting out is that all the information they need is all on here. Plus you can ask a question it shall get answered. If not search .
Do not forget this bit of information, tie it on or you 'WILL' lose it.
'Davey Jones' locker gets fuller by the week. He got another pair of good fishing pliers from my visit to PapaAroha last weekend, darn fishes tail, happens every time, 'slap' away they went. Nothing is ever safe unless it is nailed down.

Totally off topic.....BUT.... there was once an ongoing thread here on the forum, that was added to every time someone lost something “overboard “.... the best part was that it included a running total of the value of gear lost..... when I last saw it it was at many many thousands of $$$ !!

Hi Teebagga,

I think we chatted at Papamoa Taylors Reserve today? Feel free to ping me when you head out for a fish once your shoulder is better. It would be good to have some company. My work hours are flexible so I can fish pretty much any day.

Cheers
