Post BOP Spot M
A plan was made between myself and Fishkiller to pay Spot M a visit. The call was made to meet at 0700. Well it turns out we both shat the bed and pulled up at 0615. Off onto the briney. No waves, swell or anything....bliss.
I was straight into it with a couple of pannies that went back and 2 bigarse KY. I thought they were kingies until I saw the spots on top. Both lost at the side of the yak....and no Im still not getting a net :D
It went quiet for a while. The tranquility of the day interspersed (is that a word? Seems to fit there) with hollerin' and hootin' from Fishkiller. Then we found a bit of rock and both pulled some reasonable fish off it. There were also a few Orca hanging around, wonder what they taste like?
The conditions were perfect. 3 layers of merino helped to make the cold less of an issue. Here's the pics:

Some damn good looking fish there Milkey
I'm itching to get over those ways sometime soon.
It's about as far to travel / fish BOP from Hamilton as it is Auckland or Coromandel so hoping to tag along and see how it's done sometime.
Lovin the lack of surf too.

That would be the Whale Is in the back ground wouldnt it?, so picking it being that far in the background, reckon you would be off matata ?
