Been a while between reports - mostly I forget to take photos before I eat the catch 8) Have been enjoying reading everyone else’s though!

I heard the snapper had made their way in so of course I had to find out for myself. Went for an after work mission up the harbour on Friday night. Paddled our from Island Bay on the North Shore to a spot I wanted to check out.

Opted to anchor and use bait and burley and it was non stop across the change of light and into the dark. No real big fish but enough for a couple of meals and the best way to end a big week of work. Happy as.

Good to know the snapper have moved in and good to have the launch spot 5 mins from my house! Looking forward to getting out there again when the weather clears.

Good to know they're in, I've been itching to get out, but circumstances have conspired against me.

Nothing like fresh snapper fillets !

@kermit It's a great area for those Easterlies and Northerlies that seem to stick around over summer
