Out there at sparrow's fart

Beautiful morning, absolutely lovely.

I kept two reasonable Snapper and a Conger.

I did have two more Congers, which I had cunningly put on a stringer to keep the slime out of the 'yak. I've discovered that if I slice their throats, they bleed out pretty quick in the water and die pronto, much more manageable, than having to try and deal with one thrashing about hours later.

When I caught the third Conger, I untied the stringer and watched the other two Eels sink slowly into the deep, note to self, bring spare stringer next time. And don't be so clumsy.

So I grabbed the third Conger with the floating grip things, very handy these, and was about to slice it's throat, when I dropped the knife into the water, note to self, bring spare knife, floating one.

Any way lovely day, fish for dinner, beaut!

Geesh mate, you sound about as clumsy as me!

Beautiful day for it though! Wish I was out there.

I’ll admit, I was a tad envious as I went past you on the ferry. Well done mate.

Thanks, I hope I cut a sufficiently dashing figure, looking like a credit to the Kayaking community.

This is what the smaller of the Snapper, looked like, after my wife asked me to attack it, with my chef's knives, for Sashimi.
