Launched at 6:45 and landed my 7th snapper by 8:30.

It was full moon and there was bioluminescence in the water until the sun came up. Plus, when I first started fishing there was lots of sign on the ff, but nothing biting. So at first I thought I was going to come home empty handed, but then once they started biting, it was full on. Rod in the rod-holder with a Z-Man on caught as much as the one in my hand with Gulp on!

2x36, 2x38, 40, 46 & 48cm

Short trip, but fun.Image

You don't fillet them straight away?

Do you cook them whole?

I take the guts out on the kayak so they stay fresh enough all day and they get filletted the same day, but at home.

Lol, bit of a reputation it appears. Not sure if the crowds are disappointed or relieved that there's no drama.

Planning to dedicate every second trip to hunting kingfish from now, so there are bound to be some mishaps in the near future.

The fillets set better if you leave them chilled for a few hours. Easier to fillet then.
