It was a good day out there baron, could've had limit by 9:30 but kept throwing the last one back for that bigger one! Ended up getting the 7th, nice 40cm specimen on the paddle back about 500m from shore. Nice pics of the dolphins, I could see them slashing from about 1km away. My workmate didn't believe me about the dolphins as he didn't come out and his words were "What?! A perfect day on the water with dolphins and your caught your limit - too good to be true!" after being skunked at Sullivan's last week! Good times...

Sweet, have spent several missions out up at Sullivan's with east Auckland kayak club. I have really enjoyed the space and senery but never smashed it. Recon the fish know we're from the south :P
Yes Dolphins I haven't ran into to offen but magic times when you find yourself in the mo!

Need to join you at Orere (sober spelling) some time, as I never seem to catch much there.

Yeah mate, would love to go out with you more than anyone... In the past I've been afraid to commit to a day beforehand because if the weather even just frowns at me on the morning, then I prefer to tail it back to the safety of Waitawa park.
Kind of over that now, so would love to tag along with you sometime.

Righto, will let you know when next heading out mate... I paddled out 5.5k`s on Thursday for 3 hours got 1 snapper at 32cm :| paddled back onto an old way-point that I hadn't been too since last winter, BOOM pulled 6 beauties in an hour :?: Bloody Kahawai everywhere ATM so spent a fair bit of time trying to escape them.
I haven't launched off the beach for months due the the swell not being conducive, so I have been using the boat ramp, makes those some of those old way-points just that much further away
