An awesome day off wanganui/kai iwi this morning. We were in 13m of water at 730am as the tide was going out. For the first hour got continually hit by massive snapper here are a few we managed to stop biggest going 15lb. We were fishing small new penny softbaits leaving plenty of slack as they were very shy.
Had a number smash off as it was the first fish for a while and clearly the leaders were a bit weak for the bigger ones. Also caught some donkey red cod and barracudas.
A great day though

Yeah we get lots of good snapper out there some over 20lb. About 2-3kms out a 30 minute paddle.
