The weather forecast was too good today to miss so I took a day off work.
Normal 7am launch. Absolutely no wind

Hooked a small fish trolling over to Rangi. Just legal but decided to let him go.

Nice 52cm snapper.

Second drift I didn't get any keepers.
Third drift I caught a JD on the slowjig but he fell off right next to the yak.
At 10am I had morning tea then a nice slow paddle back in. Cracker of a morning.

Back into Kohi. The water was super clear and I got to see a few stingrays in the shallows.
I tried to get an underwater shot but they wouldn't let me get close enough.

Great Bag mate , getting the bigger model on the hard body would have been fun to. I really like trolling hard lures for snapper , big fun :)

Some epic sun rise pics there. Very jelous stuck behind my desk today. Funny how small a 39cm fish looks next door to door to one in the fifties..

Well done pal. I saw the forecast then the conditions as I headed to work along the waterfront and somehow knew you would be over at rangi shallows. I thought about going out early this morning as technically had the morning off, but with conditions like that there would not have been much chance of me coming back when I should. You know me and last casts :?:  anyway I may have a free morning or two next week so let's hope the weather plays ball.

Sounds good.
Looks like the weather doesn't clear until late Wednesday so Thursday could be good. Long way out of course so very subject to change.

Nice fish Destin :y: I was out on Wednesday too, cracker of a day. Got 3 pannies by the green marker off NN, fishing in the channel didn't produce anything.

Last 2 weeks of Daddy day care then it's back to work :@ I'm really going to miss the midweek fishing :@
