Congrats KK and JJ - and well done in the conditions.

I was 3rd, and didn't even bring home 3 fish.

The wind just kept getting up and getting up, and I wasn't brave enough to go over to Rangitoto (my personal #1 Rule: don't paddle somewhere you're not confident of returning from with ease.)

In the afternoon, I went down to Rough Rock with the hope of catching at least something more: not even a bite in 25 gusting to 30+kt, but at least it was a short paddle back to Narrow Neck.

not sure if KK will be fully recovered by then

Well done KK, enjoy Aussie!!

I'm still grumbling with myself for not going out... :envy: but in reality I probably would have needed the CG!

Caught 6 of the buggers in the channel 2 weeks ago. Can't remember catching them there before. They appeared to be chasing baby snapper
