After spending all last week in the sunny island of Fiji doing nothing ,I needed to get back on my yak.
I decided to head out to NN (Mr Stonecross still needing another day to recover from a liquid lunch on FRIDAY ) bailed out hardend up mate
got to NN at 6.15 after picking up my Steak n cheese pie and soy latte. :conditions were awesome no wind it was like glass.
I paddles up to number 5 and started my drift. took me a little while to get in the groove .caught a few littles ones and lost two good string pullers. :envy: :swear:
did manage to put two nice pannies in the bag.Continued my drift down to 8 bouy were I picked up another couple .
with slack tide I decided to head down to 10 and wait for tide to turn ,it turned alright along with the flippen wind, picked up another snap but decided to call it a day as it was getting bloddy windy and had a few funwaves to deal with..
Well what a mission getting back full on wind in my face ,would have to be the hardest paddle I have ever done so far in my yak
I am shagged.
poor old KK was also right over on the rangi side further south than me , I thing it was a two hour paddle for him.
all worth the effort I have fresh snaps for dinner and kk got some nice fish also . (he was looking good with the hobbie comp also.
not sure who finisher were. :y: :y: |-)

Thanks for alerting coastguard but I had to much pride to except a tow so slugged it out !!!

You had to submit 3 snapper between 35 and 60cm using only softbaits , longest 3 fish wins . The first two contestants make up the team to represent NZ . Our very own JungleJim is also part of Team NZ .
