Over 6 months ago, I came up with a brilliant idea of storing my yak suspended in the rafters of my garage by pulleys.
http://www.kayakfishingnz.com/forum/vie ... 813#p24813
It worked well...... until today.
My wife called me a little upset and asked if I could come home. She re composed herself and began explaining what happened.

Ouch! :tmi:

Will make an interesting insurance claim:
Car struck by falling kayak?
Windscreen shattered by attacking Cobra?

At least she's still talking to you...

Yeah thanks for asking Winch.
I've had a few texts, Facebook messages etc with that concern too.
The Marauder's just dying to get out there again, with or without me.

Mrs, wktoyakka actually said that she's glad the car broke the marauders fall.
Could've been much worse otherwise

Are the joys of DIY and learning by your mistakes, imagine the dent your FishnDive would have made.

Not enough to pay the $500 excess on insurance but enough to decide to replace it with a 2nd hand one. The other worry is that it punched the areial (in the middle of the roof) a good 2 inches below where the roofline should be.

A good lesson for me about procrastination

haha! Yeah real convincing Caveman! Imagine if it was a Profish that fell on his pocket rocket... would've pushed it through to China. Ironically I've been planning to do something similar with mine.
