Hey just wondering if anyone has had experience with the Wheeleez XL Kayak Cart with the 42cm balloon wheels? Especially compared to the 30cm wheel version? Like the idea of more ground clearance mainly. Its to go with a Profish 440. Thanks!

So obviously these are great over sand just wondering on a shingle beach. How puncture resistant are theyonshape stones sticks and shells? Would the30cm version be ok with an ultra 4.3 and would it fit in the front hatch of the ultra. Thanks for your advice.

Im in wellington and most of the places I go are shingle and large pebble beaches, not sure if you can quite see in background of pic. I was actually meant to make a wee clip last time me pulling the pdl to and from the car over the beach. I Just make sure the straps are tight as then you can even pull it up step like terrain up little banks like i do. And with wheeleez you wont get that jarring effect with rods crashing and bashing around as much because the wheels seem to absorb it. when Im wheeling to trailer I lift front up on rear of trailer while the rear is still on the wheeleez then I lift the rear of pdl then push forward. tbh the 42cm one will be over kill, I know the 30cm fit through the hatch nicely so should fit in the 4.3s and tridents

Well I ordered one and arrived Friday. Took the kayak for test ride on the trolley and what a difference. Beach that was impassible now easily traversable. Rolls easily over loose shingle that previously was just not possible. Doesn't fit in the frog hatch but all good thanks.

How soft are the tires?

I get the feeling that this is just an issue of tire width lowering ground pressure.

I wonder what would happen if you somehow attached two sets of Ctug wheels together.

hey doc the balloon tyre really makes a big difference. I have struggled in the past trying to haul my kayak and trolley out of soft stuff using other brands. I have cracked other branded plastic wheels .
The sidewinders and sandtraks might be fine for others but I spent the little extra and got these and very happy.

Well I took everyone's advice and go the one with 30cm wheels. Had a few outings no and just blown away by how good this cart is!!!
Soft sand that was previously impossible I don't even notice now. That's what I wanted the cart for and it more than delivers. But I've also started going to some rocky launches and even got comfortable going over mussle and oyster beds. The wheels cope well and no punctures. Can't say the same for my feet! What I really like is the wheels also act as suspension so the kit doesn't get a hammering. Really looking forward to Christmas and exploring some new launches I couldn't consider before. Thanks again to everyone top notch advice :)
