Yes KayakFishingNZ.com will be at the upcoming Auckland On Water Boat Show next week Thursday through Sunday spreading the word of kayak fishing. I was asked by the organisers if KFNZ would be interested in attending the show to answer questions, explain to people what kayak fishing is, how we do it, why we do it, etc etc.

The KFNZ stand is in the main fishing hall by the seminars. Rob Fort is also in the fishing hall so please do drop in and say hello.

I'll be on the stand all four days, I'm being joined by Regan Aston (Regan is from Phoenix kayaks and ex JO/Ocean Kayak as well as a long time kayak fisherman), and I think I've talked Hainesy into turning up some time over the weekend as well BUT if anyone else wants to come along and help out at anytime send me a PM as I've got a few free entry passes to get you in etc.

As usual it's the supporters of KFNZ that make these things possible and I'd like to thank them all for their continued support!

If you want more info on the show head over to http://www.auckland-boatshow.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Awesome mate, getting some notability for sure!

While I'd love to come in and give you a hand, I think I've forgotten what a kayak looks like... lol

popped down to the Boat Show today just after lunch, after a hunt for a car park ended up back at downtown car park and then a walk over the foot bridge. first order was a feed on the top level and a catch up with Jason and the Phoenix Hornet around the corner and Hello to Rob & Janet grabbed a couple of supplies for the weekend then off to look at all the other things I'd like but can't afford 20m + kayaks with 1000hp engines and or sails (think they might be called super yachts or something) oh well time to get back to work

Show has been great and lots of interest in whats on offer.

There is also a special offer available at the show and a chance to get your hands on some of the first Phoenix Hornet kayaks.
Although the kayak won't be available for a few weeks you can pre-order one through our stand and receive a $50 voucher towards some Rob Fort Series accessories to fit the kayak out.

Look forward to seeing everyone today and tomorrow.
All the best from the team

I was impressed with the Pheonix Hornet. There has been a lot of pre production thought gone into the design. Would like to have one as a loaner/spare/second yak, ( if was ever in the position to do so :D )
All the fishing level exibitors were pretty slick, good effort from everyone I saw. :y: :y:

I have to say a HUGE thanks to everyone that came along and supported the stand, and Hainesy who did the whole of Saturday on the stand and Damien who put his hand up for Saturday afternoon too :y:

It was great to catch up with those that came to the stand and to also spread the kayak fishing word amongst some who had given kayak fishing a consideration and would be looking at it in the future :y:

Unfortunately I have found spending four days talking to hundreds of people can expose you to a LOT of bugs and one or more of them has taken me down! :puke: There goes fishing in the morning! :@

The only reason i never made it to the show is that i got laid low with a bug... still running at 38.6°C. 101 in old money.

Good to catch up with Rob F and the boys on the kayakfishingnz stand. Not that much in the way of fishing gear at the show and I managed to escape without abusing the credit card.

My daughter Imogen was impressed with the phoenix kayaks, stoked to go on the train to and from the show, and allowed me to buy her an ice cream to enjoy while I had a couple of adult beverages on the way back to the train station (purely for my sore throat, you understand).
