I bought a drysuit for winter surf practicing, which has been awesome in the cold surf so far. But I'm having neck issues.
It has a latex neck seal which fits well then a neoprene collar that Velcro fastens over that. It's the neoprene but that rubbing me raw.

Anyone have any tricks to stop this?

It's a peak UK kayaking dry suit.

Cheers

I had the same thing with a spray top, a neck buff ( thanks to the Papa Aroha forum meetup grab bag of goodies :y: ) fixed it. If you need to maintain a seal maybe Vaseline ?

Hmm the buff suggestion might work as it will be over the latex seal.
Can't use Vaseline as its petroleum based and will destroy latex.

Sometimes the problem isn't that the seal is rubbing but that you may have a latex sensitivity.

I do drysuit (diving) repairs and there are quite a few people who cannot have latex in contact with any skin.

You can buy a silicone sleeve that is very comfortable that sits between your neck and the seal.

I picked up some silicon lubricant designed for dry suit seals, I'll give that a go first.
I don't think it's a latex sensitive issue as it has the same seal around the wrists and I have no issue there.
Will definitely keep all suggestions in mind though.

You need to bear in mind that using a silicone lubricant can make replacing the seal a very difficult task as the glues used will not adhere to a surface contaminated with silicone. If you send the dry top in to have the seal replaced, give the neck seal and surrounding fabric a very good wash with soap and water first. That should remove the worst of it.

I think you'd be better off using KY Lube.
