Anyone else had a guts full of the windy weather? Been desperate to get out on the new Reload so had a quick paddle at Omana on Tuesday but it was bloody cold and the wind picked up so didn't brave it for long.

Had last week off work and I'm off until next weekend but Thursday is looking like the only half decent day to go out. Not quite what I was hoping for from my two weeks off.

Like I said...bloody weather :swear:

Yeah, Badger, I'm watching Thursday with a keen eye! I'll be taking the day off if it continues the way it's looking now.

Sounds like some undersized snaps only, so I'll take comfort in that.

I had grubs and assorted zmans as well. They only seemed to like the 4 inch firetiger nemesis.

Was hoping to get out the end of last week…. but our backdoor got ripped off it's hinges by a freak gust, so had to spend the day hanging a new door! :headbang:

Then I fantasised that today was going to be calm….. but clearly that didn't play out. Off to WGTN for a few days and hoping the forecast weather for Thursday delays by a day so I can fish on Friday….

Have bought some micro jigs to chuck around the coast… just need free time and weather to line up.

Typical winter weather . Usually 5 to 10 variable knots during the week then 25 - 30 knots for the weekend !

I just left the forum after reading this post and went onto NZHerald site to find the second article from the top saying "Nasty, horrible" weather on the way.

I reckon I've checked WindGuru about 5 times just this morning, hoping Thursday's forecast won't change. Looking pretty good at the moment.

Yeah I thought about having a poke around there too. Haven't fished there yet (usually launch at Orere when down that way) so might give it a crack tomorrow.
