What does everyone use for Softbaiting etc I use 8lb Fireline can I go heavier? I've got a new reel lined up and going to put suffix 832 as I've heard it the goods. Just wanting line weight either 6lb or 10lb? What would be best Tia:)

I use 10lb fireline seems to do the job

i think everyone is different with what weight they like, personally i run top quality low diameter 20lb braid. I used to run much lighter but over the years I've crept up in weight and haven't noticed any difference in hook up rates. I find i get a lot less wind knots with this weight and also like having the extra grunt for when they go for the reef. I know its heavier than most people ive talked to use, but for me, it works :y:

i use 20lb fireline one one of my reels. works great.

I use 6lb up to 20lb for soft baiting depending on the weight of set up I am using. It also depends a lot on what is in the bargain bin.

I'm pretty much the same. 8-20 is my range. Might even have one at 30lb (but I can't remember now).
