I bought a packet of these ages ago I think they are Jerk paddlerZ (or something like that - away from home at present), and they last forever. I catch naff all and am too lazy to get the lure off the jig head between trips. The Gulp ones I used always shrivelled up and the Zmans are good as new the next trip. Bullet proof, I'm still using the same one that's landed the last 4 Kahawai, 2 Gurnard and even a 4 foot Coutta :y: Haven't caught a Snap on one yet though :?:

The packet I got is a shiny grey colour, about 5" at a guess, but I'll be trying a few different ones this summer (and watching this post).

x3 for streakz - don't fish them like a jerk shad tho just cast out and let sink, if not hit on the drop wind in slowly lifting the rod every now and then - the tail has all the action that you need

Not yet, even a bare jighead has worked for me in the past - caught a snapper and a gurnard within 5 minutes of each other :y:

I only seem to get interest on the zman new penny jerk shad but never seem to be able hook up on a regular basis. Use exactly the same jig heads as the gulps, but the fish seem to just grab the tail and not engulf it like say the squid vicious. Is there a slightly different technique to using zman, or do you use a longer shafted hook, jig head so the hook is closer to the tail? New Penny squid vicious gulp has been my go to all summer and winter, snapper just seem to go it in any conditions.
