I'm looking at getting my first Kayak for fishing and diving around Dunedin. Have come across a few different kayaks, wondering what is best for fishing/diving without breaking the bank. I've found some 2nd hand Viking Espris for around $800, PF400 $1,000 (bit beat up), Ocean Kayak Elite 4.5 $1,000. Any recommendations? Cheers

They are all good yaks. Bigger is generally better on the water, but harder to handle out the water/car top etc. Espri is a cool little boat, but maybe a little too small for serious diving?

Hi Jimmy, sounds good! Just flick me a text!

My haul last friday! Bit bumpy out on the water, my usual spot I went to produced one then had no hits after that. Paddle over to a long line of weed, saw good sign on the sounder and pulled up the rest!

Decided to call it a day once the barracoutta came around.Image
