Yaks loaded...camera gear all charged...I am heading to Bland Bay to join the Aussie lads and get a bit of footage for them to share with the KFDU members back home.. I am not entering the comp as my focus will be on getting some good footage (only guarantee of that is to leave the rods behind...well most of them at least ]:) ) but look forward to catching you all at prize giving on the Sunday.

Huge congrats to all the winners especially Peter Michael for taking out both the Bridge to Cape comp and the Individual Series Champion, and also to Milkey and Stephen Tapp for winning the Series Team Champions :y:

And a huge thanks to Justin for putting on the comps and the series, well done that man!

Was great to catch up with everyone over the weekend and to put some faces to names too :)

Looking forward to the start of the next series at the Ocean Kayak Gold Rush in Coromandel on October 6th & 7th

Sounds like Peter cleaned up in the final round, well done to that man. Anyone know how many points he finished on? Gutted I could not attend this comp, would have been good to complete the series & finish well.

Here are some images from the night for those that could not make it, not great quality as it was a bit last minute that I put my hand up to take pics as Rob made comment I will bring better camera gear for the next ones if I can make it otherwise anyone else with a good SLR digital is welcome to put there hand up to help Justin out on the prize givings.. great to see so many stick around for the evening... Some great prizes put up by all sponsors which were well received.... even a few boxes of Kumara ? :-)
