All right lads , only 4 weeks until this one rolls around , whos competing ?
Im going down to whakatane on friday for the easter weekend and im thinking of heading down the coast past Te Kaha to scout some spots out , on the saturday , sunday .
Anyone keen to come along and have a looksie ?

I heading up from the Naki. Any advice on where to stay?
Have holidayed at Ohope heaps, so I was thinking the camp site down the east end, since the weigh in is local. Haven't fished there, but Im sure the fishing would be better round the Cape further.....

Hey mate ive fished off Ohope and the Kohi Point right in Whakatane .... you will get all the species right out in front of Ohope beach but i reckon further down the coast ( which i havnt fished yet ) between Te Kaha and Lottin Point is where you will find bigger snapper and kingfish .

Just remember guys , if your heading a long way down the coast FILL YOUR TANK UP AT OPOTIKI or you could end up walking back to the weigh in ! :!:
