Wind-wise, looks like a Whatuwhiwhi launch for tomorrow, and Matai Sat/Sun.

Currently torrential rain here in Matauri Bay, no wind though.

Forecast keeps changing every hour at present, I've read reports of the wind being 25kph on Sunday and now looks like could be up to 48kph, either way it looks like it will be wet sometime.

Can handle the rain & the swell is looking light. The East Coast with give ya a break from the SWérs, just stick close ta the shore unless ya planning to live on the Knights. No worries there cause DOC will come ta get off there quickly

I picked up my 4.3 at just after 5:00 (thanks for waiting Paul :y: ) just spent an hour in the garage pulling the sounder off my 4.7 and installing it on the 4.3 and making up a 4.3 running rig, just battery mount to go

Suppose I should start packing fishing gear now

Just heading to bed post Night Shift. With a bit of luck tonight's shift will go well as well.
Plan: 1) Pack the yak gear in the car, and strap it rearing to go
2) use the motorbike ta get to work.
3) Swoop transport on way back from Night Shift and head straight to the stop

I am heading up for this - quick question after reading the rules online!

It mentions weighing in only three fish of any one species - does that mean over the whole weekend or on each day???

so can you weigh three snappps on saturday and three on sunday??

Any answers out there??

Cheers

Hi Guys, theres going to be a bit of wind this weekend so please make sure you stick to the sheltered bays and please take extreme precautions. Please use common sense as this Comp will not be cancelled. That is why we have created a big fishing area so it gives you options where to fish.

Tight lines and good fishing

And would like to thank Rob Fort from Coromandle Kayak adventures for the great prizes he has sponsored towards this competition.THANKS ROB
