Had my first and only white water paddle down part of the Rangitikei river, Beautiful place just haven't had the chance to go back and have a go again, obviously not the part of the river shown in the video :whew:

Have fished those areas extensively, great bit of water for doing both. Ngaraoro (spelling) would be a fantastic bit of white water to. Could fly into the Buoyd hut and carry down. Think you could pretty much expedition right out or close to.

:) Yup Good Times - perfect for the big Boof Boats with maybe a break down rod aboard , get to some massive untouched pools :y:

Ngaruroro River -

always wondered why I didn't know what it meant :?:
Not easy like the Tutaekuri River  But many a fledging Whitewater paddler cut their gums on the Oxbow off the Napier Taihape road (all tarseal now too :y: )

Making me all homesick -have to do a trip back down there .
The Waipunga off the Napier Taupo rd. brilliant back when access wasn't such an issue , mega trout fishing in there down to the Mohaka confluence

Yeah thats the one, have done a lot of fly in trips in there and in the Rangitiki, both are fantastic rivers and clear as any clear thing you can imagine. fishing is awesome and the kayaking would be phenomenal especially if you could fly in to the head waters with a 4 piece fly rod in tow :)
