Hi all
My name is Gary and I am from Nelson. I will be in Dunedin for 3 days for the Rugby so i am looking for a place to fish in Dunedin on Friday 13th I need help where to go for a Kayak fish.
I am staying in Board Bay.
I have never been to this area before so I have no idea where to go.
Any help would be great.

Gary

hmm middle of winter, weather allowing i guess any coastal cod spots would do.

broad bay being on the peninsula i will get back to you on access to papanui beach which i am looking into, (paper road to beach but through private land, so yet to see what the landowner is like but i suspect tour guides pay for exclusivity which is technicaly illegal but nz is shit for paper road access).

launching up near the heads and paddling out and in with the tides can be rewarding, if i am in town i will be happy to head out whereever if the conditions allow.

a little more driving and warringto or karitane are good, i still havent been to karitane myself but hear it is a good reliable spot.
Daniel
Karitane based and happy to travel a bit for some good fishing.

Warrington is a bit quiet at the moment. Off the spit, karitane, taeri mouth, ...
Feel free to jump on the Dunedin kayak fishing Facebook page.
