Was an epic battle, with the fish leaping all over the place.
Launched in the Marina behind the stadium, trolled up to Ravy, got two hits then back to the town wharf , when passing the Leigh river, got the fish. Came back though and lost another. Good times.

Even better on your ol stomping grounds too I bet , yeah spent many a long day traipsing around Hawkes bay rivers chasing trout and when ya get a good one it's well earned .
Great condition factor on those Sea Run and they tried intro them to the Tuki when I was a kid , Steel head ,I think, but the rivers to hot in Summer and polluted so never got going.
Some ran for a few years in the estuary and great sport :rock:
