I can do Shag point if anyone is keen on sunday, otherwise i will go solo out through Oamaru harbor which is sitting on 8 for sunday morning .

Im quite busy this weekend guys as im arranging mortgages/ house viewing etc (one of which is in Seacliff Patrick so we'll see how that goes!)

I may be able to manage a stint at Warrington early on Sunday if anyone is keen?

Guys im really sorry but I have a couple of house viewings tomorrow followed by a family dinner so im ruled out. Hopefully you can still go out. Good luck catching those big blue cod :clap:

forecast is looking ok for somewhere north of the peninsula tomorrow pretty much all day.

i have to take my boy to the doctors around 11am but would be keen to get out in the after lunch period.

maybe head up your way poodle ?anyone intrerested reply please, i can fit 3 more yaks on the trailer and afew arses in the car too.

In Dunedin tomorrow helping my oldest son move flats, very tempting to go for a fish in the afternoon. Bringing him back down after xmas so might bring a kayak with me. Will let you know.

i am up even for a harbour paddle if you like.

forecast for tomorrow is a bit rainy but reasonably small swells north of the harbour.

my numbers are in my sig, fire me a txt or call if you think the winds are ok and its not pissing down.

you are probly in a better location to judge the norwester than i am, if you think its not to bad i can come out and head up over to murdering bay, should be a sheltered swell there and onshore wind so at worst a hard paddle out.

should be a good chance to try out the trailer, i can collect you and your yak along the way.

Keen to meet up with anyone who can help me get accustomed to what I am imagine are very different waters :D :D

welcome mike, will be good to meet another fisher and the more going out the better.

andy im happy to give it a go, looking at the forecast karitane seems to be better rated that day but as always look at it on the day.

thats the day we are heading off to alexander as well so hopefully wont clash.

Cheers for the welcome guys ....Id imagine I am going to have a serious look at my gear before hitting the water as its reasonably light setup for the hauraki gulf.

2 of us heading to Shag Point on Sunday, leaving Oamaru around 7am. Conditions look ok at the moment.
