I'm thinking of a late afternoon paddle today off Kina then tomorrow morning off cable for a start, tight lines in GB ,
Kingie 89 cm at Kina, Snapper 84 cm at Cable, Blue Cod 45cm at cable,
Gurnard 50cm at Keiteriteri , Khawai 64cm at Kina.

heard a rumour kina got some big fish at the mo on change of light :rock:

BACK IN NELSON!!!!! but only briefly, will be heading out on the yak in the morning me thinks, 25-30 m mark, will let you know how it goes, have fun out there chaps!!!!

Very quiet at cable as well, a couple of gurnard heaps of carpet sharks and spiny dogs , heading over to Kina this morning to see.

First attempt ever at kayak fishing friday morning out around pepin and had a great morning on the carrots, got plenty to feed the family. Still lots of sharks around but no snapper at all.

What a great place.
Weather was perfect for a paddle out deep for a drift but only a couple of coutta found. Set up closer and found plenty of cod, one kept for my lunch.

Friday night fished Kina till 8:30 pm snapper up to 52cm, cable on Saturday morning, very quiet only a few gurnard, back to Kina for Sunday morning and killed it 18 fish in total kept 7 a combination of snapper, ky and gurnard, freezer looks good again, was close to having to buy fish, got Mrs mullet out on Sunday and she got three ky as well good start for her for the season, back in to summer time so early fish or late change of light. Hope you all had a good weekend, a week break as I am off to Wellington next weekend for daughters birthday, the fish can relax for a week....

caught up with the otha fulla n family and did 4 sessions in 2 days. plenty fish about, many caught, a few kept. I think the last session included 7cudas? 6brim? a huge gurnard, 2 ky, 20carpets? in 2hrs at anchor :)
the kids trip was equally spectacular with piper, mullett n spotties, attacking everything :rock:
perfect weather n calm seas :clap:
