Not a kayak event but a surfcasting comp between our club and the New Plymouth surfcasting club. Boundary is between Tapuae and Opunake.
Date: Sunday 20th October.
Time: 7.30am start, 4.30pm weigh in at Butlers Hotel.
Target species: Snapper, Kahawai, Trevally, Kingfish, spotty dogfish, JD's and gurnard only.
The winning club is the one with the highest points of all competing members from each club using the NPSC points system (not sure about this point system but will be similar to ours).
Let's try and win the trophy back! :y:

Flowrider will correct me if Im wrong, but there is no rego. Start throw a line in at 7am, then make it to Butlers for the weigh in at 4:30pm. Rest of the info above is pretty spot on.
Im also pretty sure that diff' species of fish have different points for each kilo of weight, club with most points wins trophy... but its about getting out there and getting a feed... or is it bout the trophy? I forget.
Weather will be fine and windy. Or wet and windy, one of the two.

Fishing from 7.30am, weather looking good (could change at any second though). Weigh in 4.30pm at Butlers, should be a good day! We lost the trophy last year so want to win it back.
No rego, just have to be a club member.

Whos heading where?
I'll be on the bike somewhere between Weld and the Stoney. Do we have a crew heading south? Cover all the bases.

Might head to either Komene or Kaihihi, might be a bit rough though so might change my mind
