Hope to be on the water tomorrow at Te Awanga around 7am. A great forecast from 7 am till just after lunch. Plenty of time to get into a few fish.
Some good reports of Trevally, Snapper and Kahawai coming out of the area. So lets get a flotilla out there :y:

You should be hitting the water as I type this! Tight lines! I'm working , but managed a good session on my day off on Thursday. Chose to hit the Port as I usually do & I had a new rod & reel combo to blood. I smashed into a heap of KY , at one point I had 3 large fish on at once, on 2 rods ! I only kept 4 fish but it was an exciting days fishing.

Quite the tough days fishing it was today Wind blew hard when we got there which wasnt forecast but it settled, slow as bite along with the fish being mostly small in size, The variety of species was up there though, I even managed a gurnard which i returned! Finally Tally was 2x 35cm Snapper and 2x 60cm Kahawai 1x 40cm Jack Mack. I'll chuck up a full report over on the trip reports section too.

Some very nice KY there :y:
Not a breath of wind here, and I was stuck on domestic detail |(

Envious, much.

Well done Blair, I wish I could have stayed out longer, just did a quick long line test (Failed due to too much wind) before going to kids cricket. Had a quick chat to your dad too will be keen to catch up sometime soon.
