Don't believe everything you read Blair, you need to spend more time on the water.
I was there today and didn't see loads of fish, all I caught was 3 fish (largest fish going 60cm)

I've been fishing east of clifton on the reefs around there early march i was catching a lot of fish. Have seen photos of fish being caught yesterday . Just trying to stir up a bit of interest for others to get out there and get into some fish. That 60cm snap is very decent RJ well done and i'm sure it put up an impressive fight.

You are wasting your time trying to stir up interest on the HB page

Hope you got out there Blair , how did you get on ?
Wasn't going to comment , but can't help myself , .Bit of a negative comment there RJ, we can't all get out there every weekend , and I for one feel this forum is a good communication tool, it keeps us in touch , and has resulted in some great trips . Can't recall having seen you at Mahia ? If you want to throw a hissy-fit ,do it in your own backyard, and try not to spoil it for everyone else, eh?
Might sound a bit harsh, but lets keep it positive and fun !

good catch Blair ! Kind of envious of the 4 rod holders on the Profish 400. There are times when I would like to increase my arsenal , so to speak , but the 4.1 only offers 2 rear mounted rod holders . I guess if I was really serious I would mount a Railblazer rack but I'm getting to the limit on kayak spending . I just bought a little Sekat kayak , i think its about 2.8 m, or so , and my intention is to blood my grandchildren into kayaking . The Ahuriri Estuary is the perfect place to do this & I have had this little thing on the water a couple of times now , and I can see myself estuary kayaking over the winter ! Its easy to lift & I can shut the van door at the back with it in there , making it a good play boat, for inshore waters .
