Heading to Taupo on Monday for 2 weeks hoping to do some jigging and Harlingen for some nice trout if any one is in the area and wants to catch up for a fish just flick me a pm. Cheers and merry Xmas to once and all.

Bugger, I had my last day on the water down at the southern end of the lake this morning. Saw on other yak out.

The fishing was pretty slow but I managed on nice fish.

That was harling a heavily weighted yellow rabbit. I've had some good success jigging as well - there are some good holes to jig only 10 minutes paddling from the Tokaanu boat ramp.

We have had a great couple of weeks jigging for trou at the north end of the lake and have landed 15 -20 I have just finished vacuum packing the last three to take home for the smoker pack to the big smoke in the morining.

Wicked mate, did you use one of those pre tied jig sets?? If so which one??

No I tie my own traces and just buy what ever fly pattern that is working from the local hunting and fishing store.
